Port Barton in the municipality of San Vicente; a small village located on the north-west coast of the island of Palawan in the Philippines. So small that you can walk from one end to the other in just a couple of minutes. Its considered a more laid-back version of El Nido, Palawan, but Port Barton also offers beautiful beaches that you would definitely enjoy.
Its main beach is known as "Itay Itay", which is not as clear as the other islands that you can visit during the island, but on this main beach is where you'll be able to find restaurants, bars and accommodations for your getaway.
We visited the island last November 2022 -- few guest house and hotels are open on the main beach reason for that was because they were badly affected during the typhoon and they started opening their tourism again after the lockdowns.
Where we stayed:
Ferelle Beachfront Inn
They just opened last April 2019. Ferellee Beach Front Inn provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a terrace for each room. We got our room for Php4600 already good our 3D2N stay without breakfast, I was amazed as we were the only guest during our stay! They also have a restaurant but was closed during our stay as they just starting to get back to business and luckily they we're already accepting guests on the dates of our visit. The staff was also accommodating and even their dogs who wait for us at night to come home.
Originally we were supposed to stay in Ausan Beach Front Cottages, but unfortunately they're fully booked on our first 2 days. We moved on our 3rd day and got a double bedroom with extra mattress for Php5000 for our 3D2N stay with breakfast, has a balcony, private bathroom and beach front view.
Ausan was formerly known "Ausan's Cottages" that offered only 4 cottages but due to high demand, they decided to offer selected air-conditioned rooms with TV, Beach Front Tree House, U.F.O Cottage, Beach Front Sunset Rooms, and Budget Standard Rooms. Native concreted design Bar and Restaurant is also available offering Western, European, Oriental, Continental, and Filipino foods together with various cocktails and cold beers and juices.
To book a room at Ausan you can message them on Facebook, on their website or book a room via Booking.com or Agoda.
